Pricing rates & assumptions
Painted Shaker complete-run starting rates, including installation: frameless $600 per linear foot, overlay $750, and inset $900+. Lower cabinets use 60% of the rate and uppers 40%. A matching 10-foot upper-and-lower run equals $6,000 frameless, $7,500 overlay or $9,000+ inset before extras. Lower-only islands receive only the lower rate. Gaps without cabinets are excluded. Tall cabinetry has a separate allowance at 100% of the complete-run rate per foot of width; this is a planning assumption requiring final review. Standard drawer configurations are included.
Design, building, finishing, delivery and installation are included. Decorative end panels ($400 each), crown/riser ($370 per 8-foot stick with a 1.5× length allowance), furniture toe base ($250 per base linear foot), accessories and specialty items are additional. The planning range starts at the calculated total rounded up to $100 and extends to 110%, rounded to $100; it is not a maximum quote. Inset starts at $900 and can increase after design review.
Real wood requires a supplier quote and is excluded from numeric estimates. Shaker is included; Slim Shaker adds $1 per square foot of cabinet front area. Other door-profile upgrades and nonstandard dimensions require review or a supplier quote. Tax, appliances, countertops, plumbing and electrical are excluded. These are Clara Street Cabinetry’s planning rates, not a binding quote.

Cabinet planning questions
How do I get a cabinet estimate?
Draw your walls and islands, add cabinets, choose your finishes and extras, then select “See project budget.” Your layout and selections determine the planning estimate. Professional measurements and a final design review are needed before a binding quote.
Is installation included?
The painted-cabinet planning estimate includes design, building, finishing, delivery and installation. Countertops, appliances, plumbing, electrical work and tax are excluded. Inset details and some door-profile adjustments need a separate quote.
Can I choose real wood cabinets?
Yes. Select real wood for the room and choose a species. Real wood cabinetry requires a supplier quote and is excluded from the numeric planning estimate.
Can I save my cabinet layout?
You can download a project file to reopen in this planner, export your plan for review, or print a summary. Your contact details are not sent automatically.
